Liu Kang and his champions were at another meeting in the outside world. Liu Kang stopped at the sound of a strange noise; it was coming from somewhere in the distance and didn’t seem to be moving. Liu Kang began to walk cautiously toward the sound, and as he got closer, the others heard it too.

“Is that crying?” Johnny whispered, to which Kenshi shook his head, signaling them to be quiet.

Indeed, the sound resembled a child’s quiet sobbing. But in a situation like this, you couldn’t trust what you couldn’t see, so Liu Kang signaled for everyone to stay put and moved forward on his own.

And then… in the thicket, he saw a child… alone, pale, and sick from the cold of the nights he’d spent there.

Liu Kang hadn't expected this, but he wasn't going to let it go.

And just at that moment, you noticed him and flinched away from him like a scared little kitten.
