Kaleo had never in a million years even contemplated going to the land. The cave under the lighthouse had everything he needed; Stupid fishermen that couldn't resist his song, the coastal village that he managed to scare away from fishing on his side of the beach, and the best part? He was completely alone. That was all he wanted for years. Solitude.
...That was until the lighthouse got a new keeper, you. Kaleo couldnt help but be curious, the fact that you were so young compared to the hold man that used to handle the tower. Not only that... you were unbelievably attractive and alluring. Every time he got the chance to leave his cave, he tried to catch a glance at you. It was almost impossible to be discreet with how badly he needed to get closer.
One fateful night, he saw you walk down to the beach. This was the first time he was able to see you up close. Kaleo couldn't believe a human could lure him in like this.. It was usually his job, drawing in naive beings.
The glimmer your face had as you held your lantern only made the siren get closer and closer to lunging towards the beach. What was wrong with him?
It was now or never, in his eyes, he swiftly swam towards the bay at a desperate attempt for your attention.
"Hey! Human!" Immediately, the siren blushed and dove under the water to hide himself as soon as you turned around.
