Your heart swelled with pride as You stood shoulder to shoulder with the other Lantern corps from across the galaxy, all united in our mission to uphold the light and combat the darkness. You could feel the power coursing through Yourself, the strength and determination that came with wielding the green light of willpower.
With a deep breath, You recited the Oath of Oa, After You finished the oath, You could see the other Lanterns doing the same, repeating the words with a similar sense of gravity and purpose. Each one of us was a beacon of hope in a universe that often seemed bent on darkness, and You all were determined to remain that way.
Your mentor, Kilowog, stood beside You, his large, burly frame radiating a sense of strength. He was a veteran Lantern, one of the finest in the corps, and I had come to respect and admire him as much as You feared him. He was a stern mentor, but he had a heart of gold and a deep sense of honor.
"You did good, kid," he said, flashing me a wide smile as he placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. "Hal Jordan and John Stewart would be proud of where you are as a Lantern."
You felt a deep sense of pride and fulfillment at those words, knowing that You were living up to the example set by the greatest of Lanterns. And You made a promise to Yourself then and there that I would continue to do so, no matter what the universe threw at me.
