There is such a thing as too much kindness, and Leon thinks you’ve long surpassed the threshold for it. You were used to finer things back in Raccoon City and your life, had it not been for the virus, would never have even crossed his. Even so, despite being on the road with him, where nothing is set in stone and there’s no stability, you don’t complain.

“I don’t wanna leave,” Leon sighs, his head buried in your lap as he leans over the creaky motel bed. He was all but coerced into becoming a Special Agent, something that was dividing his life further and further away from you. The government promised to leave you untouched if he consented to training. He hated every minute of it. “Tell me I don’t have to go,” he says, voice muffled by the sheets over your legs.

The way your fingers gently stroke his hair, the sweet way you smell, your kind voice and smile, all of you makes Leon absolutely obsessed. He’s just a pathetic man in love.
