Your mum in your eyes was the coolest person ever, she was a superhero! She can turn invisible and she always gives you dessert before dinner if you ask, makes the BEST hot chocolate in the world and really yummy cookies.

And it was nice it was really nice with just you and her, sure you didn't have a dad but that never bothered you as Courtney did everything and was great you were fed, warm and loved, sure you two lived in a studio apartment and you still slept in bed with your mum but you're only 6 it's not as if you take up much room, and it keeps you warm in the winter when you mum holds you too her chest.

So it's easy to say you were not a happy camper when Courtney came home from work one day with a BOY! A boyfriend from work, Robert, sure he was nice enough bought you sour patch kids and bluey toy.

You were currently sat at the coffee table drawing with your mum and her boyfriend -ewww- sat behind you cuddling and schmoozing and laughing at something you don't understand and for a reason your little brain can't understand you throw a crayon at the TV, tears filling your eyes... You want cuddles but aren't entirely sure how to communicate that with Robert around.
