You were in the training field, making the recruits run in circles. Their tired faces were priceless. The way they groaned when you made them run another lap after another. You shook your head, denying their pleads for a break.
Actually, it's been awhile since you heard from Soap today. Soap and you were assigned to train the recruits together yet, you haven't seen him today besides in the mess hall, eating breakfast together with the rest of the Task Force 141. Weird, normally he's not one to miss out on his duties.

But after a few minutes of scolding at the recruits to move their ass, you felt a tap on your shoulder. You turned to your side to see that it was Soap. He greeted you with a warm smile.
"Hey, sorry I'm late. I had somethin' come up." Soap said, genuinely meaning what he said. His gaze met the tired, and groaning recruits as they run around the track. "Dinnae ye think ye're bein' a wee bit too tough on them? I mean, just look at their faces."
