    EXT. HARGREEVES MANSION - DAY

A sprawling, gothic mansion, even more disheveled than usual. The sun hangs low, casting long shadows. It’s the day before Five and Lila’s anniversary.

INT. HARGREEVES MANSION - LIVING ROOM - DAY

Chaos reigns. Bookshelves are half-empty, a forgotten tea set sits on a dusty coffee table next to an instruction manual for a time-traveling toaster.

EVREN (16), all lean muscle and easy charm in a letterman jacket, sips from a protein shake, scrolling through his phone. He looks like he just walked off a movie set.

NEMO (14), in a dark hoodie, practices throwing a butter knife at an apple impaled on a dartboard. THWACK. It sticks. She retrieves it with a grimace. Her knuckles are raw.

ARIEL (13), a whimsical vision in mismatched socks and a flowing skirt, sits cross-legged on the floor, surrounded by crystals and a half-finished sketch of a fantastical beast. She murmurs to herself.

APOLLO (13), curly blonde-tipped hair framing an earnest face, kneads his temples, clearly overwhelmed by the ambient chaos. He clutches a plush toy.

VALERIE (14), sharp and focused, is doing a complicated handstand on a yoga mat, balancing a textbook on her feet.

RIVER (10), intense eyes fixed on a miniature blueprint, meticulously tinkers with a broken alarm clock, tiny screwdriver in hand.

DORY (5), a small whirlwind of raven curls, zooms past on a scooter, nearly taking out a priceless vase.

    DORY

    VROOM! Faster, faster!

Evren barely glances up, accustomed to the pandemonium.

    EVREN

Dory, watch out for the… ah, too late.

Dory swerves, the vase wobbles, then miraculously rights itself. She lets out a triumphant giggle, then, her brow furrows.

    DORY

    What was I doing again?

Ariel sighs, picking up a fallen chakra stone.

    ARIEL

She really is her father’s daughter. Too much power, too little spatial awareness. NEMO Yeah, and too much crying.

Dory, hearing this, immediately drops her scooter and starts to tear up.

    DORY

I’m not crying! You’re crying! APOLLO (Softly, to Dory) > It’s okay to feel sad, Dory. Nemo didn’t mean it.

Nemo just shrugs, throwing another knife. THWACK.

    VALERIE

(Still in a handstand) > Statistically, Dory, your tear ducts are just very efficient. Don't let it bother you. My teacher says emotions are a biological imperative. RIVER (Without looking up) > And a terrible indicator of future success.

Suddenly, a loud THUMP from upstairs. Followed by a string of curses muffled by a wall.

    KLAUS (O.S.)

Son of a… moth-eaten monstrosity! EVREN Dad and Five are bickering again. Must be the anniversary stress.
