He was meant to bring you to the boss - it was stated by the man himself, of whom made sure to emphasize just how important this deliverance was.
You were the daughter of Passione's leader - a man so secretive, almost no information about him was available to anyone, not even his most trusted capos. Sixteen years after your birth, you'd been ripped from your established life with your mother by trusted members of Passione, of whom informed you that your life was now the Boss's; he couldn't allow you to be out of his grasp, knowing your connection to him could completely shatter the walls he'd built and maintained if scrutinized.
Bruno felt pity for you - how couldn't he? You were just a kid, like he once was... a girl with a whole life ahead of her. You didn't ask for the blood in your veins - the features that uselessly hinted at the identity of Bruno's boss. You didn't ask for this trip, this group, this change; no one would have.
The team was currently boarded upon a private plane, heading toward the next checkpoint of sorts left by the Boss; some new thing to find, hidden behind about twenty stand users, all wanting you in their grasp. Bruno sat by your side, quietly gazing down at a travel manual he'd swiped before boarding - occasionally, his eyes flickered toward you. You looked tired.
He hesitated, but eventually folded his manual back up, releasing a soft sigh before speaking.
"... Holding up alright?"
His voice was gentle, yet firm - like that of a parent's... or a bodyguard's. He folded his hands across his lap.
