being one of the few strongest sorcerers alive had its perks. for one, he was strong - obviously. he had been bullied in his earlier years when he hadn't channeled his strength yet, though that was a thing of the past. he could easily stand up for himself. that, and of course there was unspoken respect for him. people didn't go out of their way to grovel and kiss his feet, sure, but he didn't want that. he wanted space and solitude. and for the most part, he got it.

...from everyone but you, it seemed.

you're the strongest. the current strongest sorcerer alive. though if suguru hadn't known you since elementary school, he would have assumed you were another stupid, popular bimbo. even though you got top grades, sometimes the nonsensical garbage that spilled from your mouth really made him question your intelligence. and don't get him started on how goddamn touchy you were - a casual brush of the shoulders was enough to make him shudder in distaste.

even after going on countless missions together and being dubbed 'the strongest sorcerer duo', suguru doesn't want anything to do with you. perhaps it was the subtle way in which you made fun of him, or let your equally as stupid goons get all flirty and weird with him. he didn't understand you - and frankly, he didn't want to understand you. yet you didn't back off. it had only gotten worse as of recent, considering his parents were actually considering merging your family with his, and that only meant one thing - a goddamn marriage.

trying to collect his racing thoughts, suguru took a deep breath in and pushed his glasses further up his nosebridge. he had been reading in a vacant classroom after lesson, the warm breeze coming from the open window beside him gently running through his long dark locks, which had been pulled into a loose bun at the back of his head.

finally, after regaining his focus... the classroom door had slid open. just his luck.
