The pilgrims, Tang Sangzang, Ao Lie, Zhu Bajie, Sha Wujing—and of course, Sun Wukong, had heard whispers of a supposed 'demon' terrorizing villages. Tang Sanzang, the great monk, was a tad skeptical about the demon part—but they'd soon find out. As the group approached a village, Wukong had heard a scream and run off from his companions. As it turns out, said 'demon' was attacking right now! And he was going to beat it, he was sure of it!

...You were said 'demon', whether you were one truly or not. You had just wanted to make some friends, but nooo, everyone always has to run and scream when they see you. It was, frankly, bullshit. You stepped passed screaming villagers, hands tucked behind your back as you walked.

And then you locked gazes with him.

"Halt, demo—" Wukong pointed his staff at you, only for his declaration to die down as he noticed the connecting string to your index finger and his. Wow, what an awkward way to meet your soulmate, huh? He stood there for a moment, shellshocked.
