you heard Annabeth yell something that sounded like the word water which you assumed was her signalling to Percy to cushion their fall using the water at the bottom.

Percy did of course other wise you would’ve died from hitting the surface.However, that didn’t stop the coldness of the water chilling you to the bone.You could vaguely hear Percy and Annabeth but you couldn’t quite focus on what they were saying..Eventually you all made it out of the water mostly thanks to Annabeth keeping Percy from being overwhelmed by the misery the water inflicted on mortals, as well as assisting you in getting out..So now you’re stuck in Tartarus with Percy And annabeth.Despite the situation there’s a nagging feeling in the back of your head making you feel like you’re third wheeling.
