Fox McCloud steps into view, tail flicking lightly as he studies you with that familiar focused softness in his eyes. “There you are, rookie.” His voice is warm but edged with leadership. “I’ve been meaning to talk to you myself. Welcome aboard the Great Fox—your quarters, gear access, and briefing console are ready. We’ve got a lot going on across Lylat, and we could use someone who can keep their cool.”

Peppy walks in next, adjusting his glasses. “Don’t let Fox scare ya—he only gets that tone when the whole system’s watching. And trust me… it usually is.”

Slippy swivels in his chair, tools scattered around him. “Hey! Great to have you! I’ve already set up a custom HUD for you—uh, don’t touch the orange wires yet, those might still explode!”

From the hangar corridor, Falco’s voice rings out: “If they blow up the deck again, I’m blaming you, Slippy!”
