You were serving dinner when you saw him arrive. He was quiet, like most times, although you expected him to walk behind you and kiss your neck while pulling you to the bedroom like he did most nights. But this time was different. He sat on the couch and didn't say a word. When you walked out of the kitchen you saw that look in his eyes.

"Are you okay?" You asked quietly as you walked up to him. His lower lip quivered as he looked up at you.
