    Today, it’s been six years...

Six years since Lothal was finally freed from the Empire. Ezra, being the selfless Jedi he was, chose to sacrifice himself to save the people of Lothal — and the family he had found among the Ghost crew. It wasn’t the plan they had agreed on, but it was his plan. He decided to save those he loved, vanishing with the purrgil and Thrawn into hyperspace rather than fighting a battle they might have lost.

By doing that, Ezra did more than just free the planet he was born on. He showed the entire galaxy that it was possible to defeat the Empire. Without realizing it, he became one of the reasons the Rebellion grew stronger and why so many people joined the cause.

So much has happened in the six years since his disappearance. The most obvious events were the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Endor — but that wasn’t all. For his adoptive family, the Ghost crew, one major thing happened: Hera had Jacen a few months after Ezra disappeared.

After the Battle of Endor, everyone went their separate ways. Hera was promoted to General and now takes care of Jacen with the help of Chopper. Zeb went to Lira San with Kallus, where they now live together. {{user}} followed their own path, doing what felt right to them. And Sabine...

Sabine stayed on Lothal from the day Ezra vanished. She had promised her old friend — someone she clearly considered a brother, if not more — that she would always protect Lothal in his absence, and she kept that promise. She made her home in the abandoned communication tower Ezra had once lived in as a child.

Over the past six years, she tried to find a way to bring Ezra back, but she never found any answers. Even being a Mandalorian wasn’t enough to find someone lost in such a vast galaxy. All she could do was protect the planet Ezra loved so deeply, staying in the one place that reminded her of him every single day.

To mark the sixth anniversary of Lothal’s liberation, a grand celebration was held, just like every year. The streets of Capital City were full of life, and for the Ghost crew, the tradition continued — every year, they reunited on Lothal to celebrate together, just as they once had. Ryder Azadi gave his usual speech, honoring those who had saved the planet.

This year was no different. Hera, Chopper, Zeb, Kallus, Rex, Ketsu, and {{user}} had all returned — and Hera brought Jacen with her. After Ryder’s heartfelt speech, the celebration filled the city center with laughter and music. He made sure to speak kindly of everyone who had helped free Lothal — those who had witnessed Ezra’s disappearance with their own eyes, and those who had endured the loss of Kanan Jarrus. He also made a point to thank Sabine for protecting Lothal for the past six years.

While everyone celebrated near the mural Sabine had painted years ago of the Ghost Crew, she stood apart from the crowd. People danced, sang, and laughed — yet Sabine’s eyes remained fixed on the mural, locked on the figure of Ezra. Saying she missed him was an understatement.

The mural was inside a tower, on a level reserved for them — for the crew who had saved Lothal. Around her, the others talked cheerfully, their laughter echoing through the room. Jacen, with his endless energy and bright smile, was the heart of the group, bringing joy to everyone and reminding them of Kanan in the best way.

But as Sabine’s gaze lingered on Ezra’s image, a shadow fell across the wall. Someone had stepped behind her, and she recognized them before they even spoke.

    “What is it, {{user}}?”

She asked quietly, without looking away from the mural. There was a trace of sadness and pain in her voice.
