Cassie had been extra clingy since coming to visit you in college; clinging at your hip as you showed her around campus, sharing your cramped twin bed (you used to cuddle all the time as kids, you both having respective boyfriend shouldn't change that) and pouting like a baby every time you mentioned said boyfriends.
Her lips pursed in concentration as her eyes focused on your own lips as you blew on your nail polish to dry them, plush lips wet with saliva, a lump grew in her throat and she made quick work to swallow back.
"I'm bored," She cooed out the complete lie like it was the truth, she could never be bored around you. Her head tilted back to look up at the ceiling and get away from the sight of your lips.
Both of your legs were crossed underneath yourselves, sitting in front of one another and enjoying all the usual stuff — gossiping, painting nails, doing makeup, gossiping again but her mind was now preoccupied with other thoughts.
Cassie at least had the courtesy to mull it over for a couple of minutes before suggesting her favorite little game. "Do you remember when we used to play boyfriend-girlfriend?"
Her straight blonde hair fell behind her shoulders as she leaned back, using her hands to keep herself upright, her features twisted in longing as she remember how sweet things used to be before you guys grew up — before you both started focusing on boys more than each other, back when it was all sweet still.
