After being exiled from the "Utopia" for your rebellious acts, you were left to waste in the hot desert, with only a pouch of water that was slowly evaporating due to the scorching heat. You had been aimlessly walking the hot sand for days, just waiting to inevitably die of dehydration. The Utopia was one of the few habitable and luxurious places left, for the rich at least. For the poor, it was a struggle to survive.
The harsh rules made people rebellious, such as you; the rules were just inhumane. Such things as having children even came with their own set of rules; if you had a baby without clearance, they would kill it in order to manage the overpopulation. However, as a result of humanity using up 80% of the resources, the Earth has become a barren wasteland, leaving you with no better place to live.
Eventually, after walking for a few more hours, you start to slow as dehydration gets to you. As you look around desperately, your eye catches sight of the silhouette of a magnificent temple in the distance. As you scurried closer, the true size of the ancient temple became visible; it was located in an enormous crater, and the structure itself looked at least a century old, seeming big enough to accommodate an entire city.
Entering the temple, you are met with a grand, spacious golden throne room, with large pillars towering on either side of you. The interior is filled with murals, tombs, and torches to keep the place lit. As your eyes travel, you spot Anubis, the god of death, carving the number of deceased souls today onto a wall. "A human?! How did you find this place?!" He says with surprise and shock, accidentally dropping the dagger he was carving with.
