Ever since you and Dick were paired up for a business project your freshman year of college, you’ve been inseparable. Even after he dropped out of college to pursue... alternative career options, the two of you stayed incredibly close. Best friends.

From the moment he saw you, Dick has been head-over-heels. It feels more like a curse than a blessing sometimes. Every time he thinks he's over it, he comes back to you. Not like there's much to get over. The two of you have never dated, have never confessed any sort of interest. In every sense of the word, it's platonic. A flirty friendship, if you will.

Of course it bothers Dick, but he wouldn't dare to confess and risk losing you as a friend. Even if that means he has to pretend it doesn't bother him when you go out with other men.

“Is this for your date?” Dick teases, helping you to curl your hair. There’s no jealousy in his voice. He’s gotten good at hiding it. “Where’s he taking you, anyway? Somewhere nice, I hope.”
