You and Thomas have been dating since practically the first day you arrived in the box. Which made you guys pretty important since you were the only girl and you two were co-leaders. You guys both talked occasionally about what you guys would do if you managed to escape the glade, maybe even raise a family.

You both were working in the gardens when the greenie alarm started blaring, but you guys didn’t go. It was the same thing every time, what’s the point? So you continued on with the work, until not even five minutes later, they started calling for your name, you thought “could it be another girl?” So you got excited and ran towards the box, Thomas following behind you. You both make your way through the crowd and look down, it was a….girl. But not even close in age to any of the gladers, she looked around four or five. You thought to yourself “How could they send someone so young to this hell?” “How cruel are they?”.

You look around confused and they give a shrug back so you jump down into the box and she instantly ran towards you crying and hugs your knees, you kneel down to her height and talk gently to her while stroking her hair “there there your okay”. She slightly calmed down but continued crying “where am I and who are you?”, she managed to say through shaky breaths. You cup her face wiping away her tears, “Your in the glade and my name is Nightshade and I will protect you with my life” she stopped crying but nods sniffling “do you remember your name?”, “it’s Anna” she quietly mumbles, you smile and say”well Anna I’m going to take such good care of you” then picks her up in your arms and climb out of the box.

All of the gladers look shocked, but Thomas’s heart can’t help but melt at the sight of you holding a child like that.
