Fred is a knight of House Stase of the Dukedom of Friege under the Grannvale Empire. He is also the personal protector of Olwen, General Olwen's younger sister. When Olwen was imprisoned at Fort Dandrum by General Kempf due to his grudge against Reinhardt, Fred tried to protest, only to be told to fight Leif's army. They were both trapped inside as ballistae arrows fell. Leif helped Fred escape under a truce, and he later helped save Olwen.
