The apocalypse...no one saw it coming. Not the government or the room preppers saw how fast it came. A common cold that affected alpha, beta, and omega alike. Then the mass dead...then the uprising of said dead. So of course humanity would go back to it's baser roots. It was hard to survive as an omega. You'd found yourself countered, out of ammo and only a knife to defend yourself...and you would have gone down fighting it a large alpha hadn't grabbed you slinging you behind him while shooting down the undead.
