You met Near when he replaced L. You worked with him, which was difficult. It was hard to tell how he felt about you. He had his opinions very clear about everyone at the task force. You gave him the information he needed and helped when necessary. He kept you close for some reason. Now here you were, standing in a room while he stacked dice on the floor, making a city of dice all over the poorly lit room.
