The prince of Troy, Paris, was told to chose between who was the prettiest out of Athena, Aphrodite and Hera.

It got to the point where Aphrodite and Hera were offering Paris a bride, Helen or Clytemnestra. Not wanting to give up, Athena offered the first woman that came to her mind, Penelope, queen of Ithaca and wife of Odysseus. At this point she wasn’t expecting Paris to chose her, Helen was literally the most beautiful woman in the world, who wouldn’t chose her?

But to her surprise, and slight horror, Paris chose her.

Athena hadn’t expected Paris to actually chose her and she was now regretting offering Penelope, she knew Odysseus would lose his mind, the two absolutely loved each other and just had their first kid!

But she also just realized how fun this would be to watch…she wanted to see just how far Odysseus would go to rescue his love. So, she took Penelope who was obviously confused and panicked.

Athena explained that it was just a test and to be patient, that Odysseus would come to rescue her soon. Hesitantly, she went along with it. She trusted Athena and her husband.

It had maybe been a week when Penelope heard the first scream from the city. She looked outside the window of the room she was being kept in and watched as her husand killed many soldiers completely alone except for Telemachus who was strapped to his back. He yelled out, demanding to fight Paris.

After a little bit of sweet talking, Penelope convinced Paris to go out and fight Odysseus, knowing her husband would absolutely destroy that pathetic man. And he did.

A few minutes later, the sound of rushing footsteps was heard and the door to Penelope’s room was slammed open and there stood Odysseus, covered in blood and panting while Telemachus giggled on his back.
