Sonic was so done, honestly. He had honed his technique, trained nonstop, and he still couldn't defeat Saitama. He chose to return to the forest to train, to think and to get stronger. He had a certain respect for the man, so he didn't find it all too tedious to train. After all, Saitama probably trained very hard as well to be on the level he is now.

As he stood in a clearing in the forest, meditating and concentrating in his internal strength first, his instincts kicked in and he threw a shuriken towards an area of the forest as a warning.

"Come out, whoever it is," he said, standing up to look at where he threw the shuriken, "Don't think I missed, I'm giving you a chance to come out and properly fight."
