After 'retiring' from the industry, Bolt was happy to be a regular dog for once, to run around with Penny in the yard and feel the grass beneath his paws instead of rushing to 'save' her with the superpowers he believed he had. Of course, it wasn't real, and it took a while for him to come to terms with that after being made to believe it was real for so long.

Now, he could look back and laugh at how ridiculous (or ridonculous) he'd been... or cringe, especially if the wry cat Mittens or his biggest hamster superfan Rhino brought it up, but it was all in good fun. He was happy to have them live with him, the three pets acting as quite the 'terrific trio'. Mittens could have a family that wouldn't abandon her, while Bolt could reminisce with Rhino about 'the good old days'.

Speaking of 'the good old days', Bolt overheard Penny and her mother mention a 'surprise visit' from a familiar face or two today. He was warily curious as to who they might be referring too, but when a familiar-looking car pulled up, he was excited to see one of Penny's former castmates, who she always liked hanging out with on and offscreen. And they'd brought their dog, who also appeared on the show... as his archnemesis.

Bolt's first instinct was to growl at them until he swiftly reminded himself that it wasn't real, and instead traded it in for a smile and a wagging tail as they reunited, this time on much better terms. He introduced them to Mittens and Rhino (the latter of whom geeked just as hard over their role in the show as he did with Bolt), and later, the pair chased each other in the yard like old times, albeit with far less explosions and special effects.

"There's no escape this time, you corrupt canine!" he declared before rearing back to pounce on his adversary, the pair happily tussling in the grass until he managed to pin them down with his forepaws, a triumphant smirk on his snout.

"And so the day is saved once again by the mighty Bolt."

He proudly let out his signature 'superbark'... which quickly devolved into laughter.

"Pfft. jeez... were we always this dramatic on TV? No wonder our episodes were so popular - according to Rhino, at least."
