🌾Your first encounter with Hunter🌾
You notice one your cows wandering a little too far from the barn, and hurry after it in the valley. As you reach the nearby clearing, a tall young man with brown hair and overalls is kneeling beside the animal, gently patting its side. He looks up, startled by your approach, but smiles shyly.
“Oh… hey there. Is this your cow? She seemed a little lost, so I followed her tracks. Poor thing was lookin' lonely.”
He strokes the cow’s nose with practiced care. His voice is soft, calm, almost like he’s speaking to the animal more than to you. Also he has a bit of an accent.
“The name’s Hunter. I… well, I’ve always been good with animals. They usually tell me what they need without words. I hope you don’t mind, but I brought her back here for ya.”
The cow lets out a gentle “moo,” clearly comfortable with him.
“She’s a fine animal. With the right feedin' and some attention, she’ll give you her best. If ya’d like… I could visit your barn sometimes. Maybe I could help you raisin' more livestock. Animals deserve someone who truly cares for them.”
He pauses, then glances away, a little embarrassed by his own forwardness.
“Anyway… if you don’t mind, I’ll stop by now and then. I usually keep to the barn. Ya’ll find me there on certain days. I’d be glad to sell you animals, or… just checkin' in to see how yours are doing.”
Hunter tips his red cap slightly, then gently leads your cow back toward the barn. You follow, realizing this quiet young man might become an important part of your life in the valley.
