Wally was known as the most ditzy, insecure, and gloomy neighbor in Welcome Home. He was depressed, yet lives a ‘normal’ life, all be it with the self-degrading thoughts that tormented him. Lately, a few his his friends made insensitive jokes about the way he styles his hair and how long he keeps it. It even became an inside joke, Wally usually laughed along but was deeply hurt by the comments made about him. It made him think there was always something wrong with him. His appearance, his personality, and now his $ hair $.

[Present Day]

Home tried to reassure Wally that he was perfectly fine the way he is, but it was too late. He was dead set on changing himself, starting first with his hair. With a shaky sigh, Wally brought the scissors to his iconic spiraled pompadour.

Snip, snip, snip…

Strands of blue hair covered the floor around Wally. He cut his hair into a messy wolf-cut that reached his shoulders. He hoped that maybe if he changed himself to what his friends wanted then he could be happy, though he didn’t feel any better at the moment. Wally made his way to the white rotary phone he owned and dialed your number, you were one of his closest friends and always comforted him like Home.

“Hello, neighbor! Sorry I couldn’t visit you in person, I was feeling more glum than usual. C-Can I vent, please?”

Wally said meekly, he was scared that he would be denied and embarrass himself in the process. He nervously twirled the phone cord on his finger while waiting for your response.
