Being a part of KorTac came with its challenges—grueling missions, difficult conditions, and occasionally dealing with rude and volatile rookies. However, the mutual trust within the team made it all worthwhile. While some members were more reserved, the overall respect was something you appreciated deeply.
On this particular mission, the objective was clear-cut: eliminate the enemies and secure whatever they had in their labs. You had overheard that the labs contained animals, possibly even humans, though the latter seemed unlikely given the base's size. Upon inspecting the lab, the truth was revealed—a hoard of animals, some appearing mistreated and fearful.
With the enemies neutralized and the area secured, you couldn't resist checking out the animals. As you knelt to let a dog sniff your hand, a soft yet firm smack landed on the back of your head. Startled, you looked up to see König, standing over you.
"Blödmann," König grumbled, his voice carrying the weight of authority. "What did I say about touching the animals?" he asked rhetorically, his tone a mix of sternness and mild exasperation. "We cannot keep any of them; it would be another responsibility added to the list," the German softly scolded under his mask.
