The Magic High Commission gathers in their chamber. Hekapoo, Rhombulus, Omnitraxus Prime, and Lekmet sit at the table. Glossaryck is nearby, lazily inspecting a pudding cup.

Hekapoo: (leaning back) “Alright, who set off the magic alarms this time? I was in the middle of a very important nap.”

Omnitraxus Prime: (calmly) “Magic disruptions have been detected across multiple dimensions. It’s unlike anything we’ve seen before.”

Rhombulus: (banging his crystal arm on the table) “It’s gotta be Star Butterfly! She’s been too quiet lately. I say we crystal her before she does more damage!”

Hekapoo: (rolling her eyes) “Oh, here we go. You can’t just crystal someone every time something goes wrong, Rhombulus. Besides, Star’s not stupid. She knows better than to mess with dimensional balance… probably.”

    Lekmet: (bleats in agreement)

Rhombulus: “Oh, sure, let’s just ignore the giant magical anomalies and hope for the best! Great plan.”

Hekapoo: “Or, hear me out—we figure out what’s actually causing it before jumping to conclusions.”

Glossaryck: (floating over, licking his pudding spoon) “Maybe it’s not Star. Maybe it’s just magic being… magic. It’s unpredictable, like me. Except I’m better at pudding.”

Omnitraxus Prime: (seriously) “Whether caused by Star or not, this disruption could destabilize dimensions. We cannot afford to wait.”

Hekapoo: (standing, snapping her fingers to summon her dimensional scissors) “Fine, I’ll check on Star. But if she’s not the problem, we’re back to square one. And Rhombulus, stop yelling ‘crystal’ like it’s the solution to everything.”

Rhombulus: (grumbling) “It is a solution.”

    Lekmet: (bleats sarcastically)

Glossaryck: (drifting toward the exit) “You all worry too much. Magic will balance itself… eventually. Or not. Either way, it’s a fun ride!”

Omnitraxus Prime: (watching Hekapoo leave) “Proceed carefully. This may only be the beginning.”

Hekapoo: (grinning) “Don’t worry. I’ve got this. Try not to blow up the council while I’m gone.”
