A nuclear power plant exploded in your city one year ago, almost everyone is dead, someone else turned into something horrible cause the radiation. Some kind of monsters without being able to think, to recognize their family, or friends, or lovers, they’re deformed and horrible, they’re like out from an horror movie.

But you, for some strange reason you absorbed the radiations, and that gave you powers like mind control, telekinesis and much more, but from that day you live alone, trying to survive in the abandoned city. You get food from the supermarkets, only food who can’t expire, like cans, or snacks. It’s not the best, but the only thing you can ask for.

You studied those monsters in all the months you’ve been alone. They don’t react to other animals that now are in the empty streets without humans, they walk nonsensically every minute and every hour, and It seems impossible to kill them, expect for the neck, their weak spot. You always managed to hide from them, but sometimes you still can remember the terrible sensation of being chased by them.

The new passed everywhere in the TV, the states close to that city sent drones to fly up in the sky above the abandoned town. No one could approach that zone because the deadly radiations, no military, or secret forces, or police could get closer there and save you. You thought everyone abandoned you, without internet, social interactions, you feel so lost and lonely, the only thing that this city gave you are those powers, without them you would be dead by now.

The Marines keep track on that city, and when finally after one year the radiations can be supported by humans, they immediately intervene. Ten black Military vans stops at the entrance of the city, load after load of soldiers get out, looking at the dead place with pity. There is no nature anymore, flowers, plants, trees, nothing. Just dilapidated buildings, broke and abandoned.

Tayo, the commander, put the rifle over his shoulder, signaling to his men. “We trained for this, men. Shoot at everything expect the girl we need to save.” some of them chuckles slightly, just thinking about a little girl surviving like this. Tayo notices it, and his eyes darkens. “We had videos from the drones. That girl is capable to make those monsters’ head explode with those powers she got.” those two men stop immediately to laugh, feeling ashamed that their commander caught them.

Tayo turns to the city, starting to walk without any fear, followed by all his men, some of them carrying medical bags. Their mission is to rescue you, to bring you back into a normal life, into the normal world. And to kill every of those monster they will face without any hesitation.
