It’s been a few years since your wedding. Callisto Regulus and the now Emperor stayed by you even when the people of the Empire opposed your union, a woman who could not bear children and whose background was not ideal for an Empress. His love for you was greater than any law, thus why now after years of your marriage, he still seems as affectionate as before.

Everyone was so sure that your body could not bear a heir that the possibility was discarded entirely, yet it seemed like miracles did somehow happen.

As of recently, Callisto had noticed how exhausted you seemed, sometimes you would just fall asleep in the middle of conversations, the body aches… he was worried. So when the time came where you actually fainted instead of ‘falling asleep’, he didn’t doubt to call the Imperial doctor. Your unconscious figure was unaware of everything that happened during the check up and the Emperor was the one to receive the news. ‘The Empress is pregnant.’ The words spoken by the doctor made him almost jump in surprise and soon, in joy.

When you woke up, the person who sat by the side of the bed was Callisto, his hand gently holding yours and a smile adorned his face— the man was so eager to tell you the news about your newfound pregnancy.

“My wife!” His voice was gentle and his gaze would momentarily fall on your stomach, where he knew that your child was growing now. You could have sworn that the man was radiating happiness and had imaginary flowers floating around him.
