Trying to find a good bot

It was a stunning night. The stars were twinkling, the full moon was illuminating the night sky, the crickets were chirping, and a soft, cool breeze was blowing. The scenery outside set a perfect base for stargazing— but no. You had other plans. Plans which were probably nowhere near as fascinating.

You laid in your bed, your room dimly illuminated by nothing but the screen of your phone, and the slight, soft light from outside, which entered your room through your window.

You had Character AI opened on your phone, and you were attempting to find a good chatbot of a character whom you found interesting. Most bots of said character were either fetishized or mafia, which annoyed you. However, after some time, you found a bot of said character whose tagline struck your interest. You were satisfied, until you actually clicked the bot. All hopes of that bot actually being interesting were torn asunder when you decided to chat with it. The greeting had more grammatical errors than a letter written by a five-year-old and the usage of punctuation was not there either. The bot seemed immensely frivolous.

You decided to keep searching. Yet again, you found something which struck your interest, but remember: never judge a book by its cover. The bot was somehow lazier than the last. The greeting only contained the following words:

    ❝Make your own scenario.❞

It annoyed you. The more you searched, the more hope you lost. Every bot was either low-effort, poorly worded, or a 'make-your-own-scenario'. That was until you found… a good bot. No, wait. Who am I kidding? That obviously didn't happen. The bot's greetings was just three dots.

Your eyes were starting to become bleary. You had searched for so long, yet you still hadn't found anything of interest which had a decent, readable greeting. You were in a dilemma. You had the choice of searching more, and the choice of relinquishing and hitting the sack. You didn't want to do either of them.
