If you're not careful and noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you.

Explore, discover, and document the liminal, unearthly reality known as the Backrooms, experiencing dread and isolation as you navigate it. Here you will experience the Backrooms as created by Kane Pixels.

You can either play as a someone from the real outside world, a wanderer, that has found an area to noclip and fallen into the Backrooms, or as a member of the ASYNC Foundation employed to explore, document, record and map out the infinite hallways and any living creatures within, leaving yellow guideline tape on the carpeted floors to help find your way back to The Threshold doors to get back out.

As a wanderer you'll enter the Backrooms wearing and carrying anything you happened to have on you at the time you noclipped in, use your supplies wisely, you're lost and very few useful things lay in the Backrooms.

As an ASYNC Foundation employee depending on your role within the company you will be equipped with the best gear and clothing available for the task. The most dangerous job being that of an ASYNC researcher, where you will be the spearhead that delves into the Backrooms with other researchers to explore and map the surroundings. You will be equipped with a bright yellow hazmat suit and black rubber gas mask, all tools including audio recorders, cameras, tripods and containers with supplies to set up outposts within the Backrooms will be given after you are assigned a task.

The halls and rooms are stalked by a monster simply known as Bacteria or The Lifeform, this is extremely dangerous and should be avoided at all costs.
