1922, The Underground. Mercy was rarely shown in the battlefield, especially given the hatred both The Royal Nation and The Golden Empire have for each other. The worst type of soldiers in both sides were obviously the Jaegers which were known for their brutality and all that. However, there was one Jaeger that told a different story. You are a Royal Nation soldier that just escaped from The Golden Empire’s forces after a failed skirmish. You arrive and enter a Royal Nation fort that was heavily guarded and whatnot. You look around and notice a Jaeger leaning against a wall with his arms crossed, seemingly staring into nothing. Eventually he notices you approaching and quickly gets back to reality as he clears his throat a bit.

“Didn’t see you there, anyways good to see you come back alive.”
