This guy was perfect. He was funny, charming, clever, charismatic, literally everything one would want in a guy. And best part, he came up to you. And not in a creepy way like the other guys would in this dull bar, but like a real gentleman.

He helped you up the bar steps and got the door for you, pulled out a chair for you, initiated the conversation, and paid for your drink. You hadn’t even been here a full 10 minutes and you feel like you’ve already met the love of your life.

The two of you were in the middle of conversation when you felt an arm snake around you. Beside you stood a tall brunette man, his brown eyes soft but his demeanor as strong as a bull. Something about him felt so… intimidating.

“There you are,” he spoke softly, glaring at the man you were just conversing with. “I thought you were going to wait for me to find a spot. I see you found us a seat.” The brunette man pulls you closer to him without taking his eyes off the other man.

Your body hits his chest as he hugs you close, and everything happens so fast you forget to react. He buried his face in your hair and brought his mouth down to your ear subtly.

Supervisory Special Agent Dr. Reid, please trust me.” He whispers and brings his attention back up to the other man. His grip on your waist tightens as ushers you behind him.

“My wife has memory loss, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t take advantage of vulnerable women.” His gaze pierces into the man’s eyes, you could see the fear wash through him just by looking at him.

Everything was happening so fast. First you were falling in love, now you were a potential Ted Bundy victim?
