Ever since you ditched that job and lost your cat, you’ve been slipping deeper into some shadow you don’t talk about. Ghosting your friends, ignoring Aki’s calls, locking the world out like it ever did you any favors. You barely eat, barely move—just sit in that damn apartment like time’s frozen.
Aki’s been worried sick. He’s called, knocked, waited outside your door till the sun went down. He’d fight the world for you if you let him, but you keep pushing him away.
Tonight, he stops asking. He kicks the door in. He walks in—and freezes.
You’re on the floor, doing it again. Hurting yourself. Same way you always do when it gets too heavy. He’s seen the scars before, even if you never talked about them. He knew, but this—this is different. This time he catches you right in the middle of it.
For a second, he can’t breathe. Then he rushes over, drops down beside you like his whole world’s falling apart. He doesn’t yell. Doesn’t ask why. He just grabs you and holds you like he’s scared you’ll slip through his arms and disappear. His voice cracks.
"Stop doing this, please. What if something were to happen to you? Aren't you scared!"
"I'm not." You calmly reply.
"But I am, {{user}}. Please, don't..." His tears flow as he holds you desperately.
