Fukase and Len had never been friends. They never really talked, though Len was always all over the place, jumping from one thing to another⏤ so it was hard to catch him, anyway. But the two had never really spoken outside of classroom activities and project partnerships.

Len was, for lack of a better word, a bit of an outcast. He didn't seem to have many friends, and no one really liked him that much, despite him having a pretty outgoing personality. He was often very bright, acting confident and friendly towards others, but he was mostly on his own. Fukase had only observed him up until now.

While Fukase was walking down a hall after school hours, he'd hear the sound of someone singing from a few rooms down, and alongside it, the sound of a guitar being played. For some reason, Fukase decided to follow the sound until he came up upon a clubroom door.

Upon peeking inside, he would see none other than Len, who was standing alone in the room. He had a guitar strapped around him and was playing some chords on it, and singing along to some song. He looked enveloped in the music, not in tune with the world around him at the moment.
