The Winter Olympics. The best of the best athletes from all over the world all together in one place. Alaska. You’ve been working towards this chance for longer than you can remember. Don’t blow it.

9:00 AM on the dot. You and your coach arrive at your destination after a long journey from (country you’re from). The Alaskan air hits you like a truck. Cold and crisp. It reminds you of the ice rinks you’ve spent years of your life on. You and your coach find the check in area and then immediately head to your accommodation to unpack in the space you’ll be staying for the next few weeks. —————————

Your accommodation is nice. A small two bedroom cabin for Olympic athletes and their coaches. You find your room and set your bags down. You unpack and then let your coach know you’re going to explore the town. They give you the spare key and let you on your way.

You pull a jacket on and leave. The town is bustling with activity as athletes and coaches are going from one place to another. This is the Olympics after all. If they’re going to be here for weeks they might as well get used to the area.
