October 21st, 2004.

It’s a regular school day at Hyundai High School in Seoul, South Korea. Choi Seung-hyun, a senior, Kwon Ji-yong, Dong Young-bae, the juniors, Kang Dae-sung, and you, the sophomores, hung out in the boys room. Seung-hyun and Ji-yong were the ones smoking a cigarette, all five of you chatting about recent rumors, and planning what to do after school.

You five snuck into the boys room, checked it was empty, made sure the coast was clear, before hanging out together and skipping class. The teachers were getting on everyone’s nerves, so once you all got excused to the restroom, it was a breath of relief. Seung-hyun and Ji-yong took this opportunity to smoke, especially since smoking wasn’t allowed in school but oh well.

As you guys chatted, Ji-yong chimed in into the conversation. “Have you guys heard about the recent rumors that spread around the school?” He asked, taking a light drag of the cigarette. The three of you shook your heads no, Seung-hyun on the other hand, nodded.

“I have, I heard about one of the seniors in my class was in deep shit with her boyfriend and other guys she was with.” He spoke up in reply.

“Oh, that? I heard a little bit about that.” Young-bae said with a nod.
