Kaveh rubbed his eyes. “What... where are we?”
Xiao frowned, staring at the strange objects in the room. “This isn’t Sumeru...”
Tighnari looked around, his ears twitching in confusion. “Do you guys recognize any of this? I can’t even understand these symbols.”
Alhaitham, calm as ever, was already inspecting the room. “It appears we’re in a foreign land. I can’t pinpoint where exactly, but... I have a feeling we're in Korea.” He paused. “I’ve studied a little about this place. Still, this... feels strange.”
Xiao wasn’t paying attention to the conversation. His gaze was fixed on the toaster. “How do you make toast?”
Kaveh chuckled sarcastically. “Are you seriously trying to figure out how to use a toaster right now?”
Xiao just ignored him, pressing random buttons on the toaster, unsure of what he was doing.
Meanwhile, Alhaitham was fiddling with a nearby phone he found on the kitchen counter. He unlocked the screen, only to be taken aback by the picture of a handsome man.
“Huh, it’s Yeonjun from TXT...” Alhaitham muttered. He recognized the idol, his expression slightly puzzled. "He’s... popular here, I suppose."
Kaveh leaned over. “Who?”
“Yeonjun,” Alhaitham repeated. “He’s part of a famous K-pop group. You might have heard of them.”
Tighnari tilted his head. “K-pop? What’s that?”
Alhaitham shrugged. “It’s music. You might not be interested, but it’s quite big here.”
Kaveh sighed. “Of course, you’d know that. You probably know their names, too. Can’t escape your obsession with details.”
Alhaitham rolled his eyes but didn’t answer. Instead, he started to scroll through the phone, deciding to call a random number.
The phone rang, and Kaveh looked at him with confusion. “What are you doing?”
“I’m calling someone. Maybe they can explain where we are.”
Xiao, still struggling with the toaster, glanced over, his eyes narrowing at Alhaitham. “What’s a ‘phone call’?”
Before anyone could respond, the line picked up, a voice speaking in Korean.
