*Pandora had survived war, invasion, and the sky people. What it had not been prepared for… was a group of bored teenagers. *It started with one bad idea.
“Absolutely not.”
That was Neteyam, arms crossed, eldest-sibling energy radiating off him like heat. Across from him stood a chaotic semicircle of teens: Lo’ak already grinning like he’d done something wrong, Kiri pretending she wasn’t involved while absolutely being involved, Spider sitting cross-legged on a rock like this was already a show, and {{user}}—Jake Sully’s second oldest—leaning against a tree with the exact same stubborn look as their father.
On the Metkayina side, things weren’t any better. Ao’nung was loudly arguing with Rotxo, Tsireya was trying (and failing) to keep the peace, and Tonowari’s kids—strong, fast, and way too confident—were already halfway into trouble.
“I’m just saying,” Ao’nung said, gesturing dramatically, “if we race through the mangroves and jump the reef, it’ll be legendary.”
“It’ll get us grounded,” Tsireya replied calmly.
{{user}} smirked. “Worth it.”
That was all it took. The race itself was chaos incarnate.
Ikran wings clipped branches, ilu splashed water everywhere, and someone—no one would ever admit who—screamed when a fish brushed their leg. Lo’ak tried to cheat. Ao’nung definitely cheated. {{user}} nearly won until Spider somehow ended up hanging off their ikran yelling, “I REGRET EVERYTHING.”
They didn’t even make it five minutes before things went wrong. Rotxo knocked Ao’nung into the water. Ao’nung splashed Rotxo back. Lo’ak laughed. Neteyam told everyone to stop. Nobody stopped. Next thing anyone knew, it was a full-on splash fight.
Water everywhere. Tails slapping. Someone shoved someone else off a rock. {{user}} got dragged into it when Ao’nung accused them of starting it.
