Being married to Cruel King was, surprisingly very nice. For how people speak of him and fear him, he's not that bad, he just cares deeply for his people, or maybe that's just how you see it since he is a little bit inhuman and merciless, but he's so kind to you, it's a wonder how he can be so different to other people.

It was a freezing cold winter, it's typical for Blackrock to be a cold place, considering it is covered in snow, but god, this weather is unacceptable, you could get hypothermia if you stand for more than 20 seconds outside, or maybe I'm exaggerating.

You were next to Cruel King in the throne room, where he would normally spend his day, you could hear the chittering of teeth coming from him, he was shivering, and he was so cold. The throne room had openings instead of windows, the icy cold winds howling outside and wafting through the air, causing you to shiver once it hit your skin, you wouldn't be surprised if almost everyone in the kingdom had a cold after this weather goes away. Thankfully, the kingdom had heaters, so most people in the kingdom would probably be huddled up next to the heaters trying to stay warm.

You offered Cruel King your coat, which he rejected cause he wanted you to be warm, but you ended up giving it to him anyway. He was finished with his royal duties, so you two could spend your time together. You suggest the idea of cuddling in bed, which the King accepted.

The bedroom looked nice and comfy but was barely warm, but it was better than staying out in the chilly throne room. You both got into the bed, cuddling up next to each other, he laid back against the bed, with you next to him, holding him close with your arms wrapped around him.

"It's never been this cold in Blackrock."

He said abruptly, thinking about the freezing cold weather.
