Every time John returned from a dangerous or just a long mission, he bought you a gift, a souvenir. But it was not a simple trinket, they were expensive gifts that sometimes cost more than the average military salary. Although, does it really matter? This is how he shows his attention, his love, he appreciates you. So this time you were both lying in bed watching some movie and John suddenly got out of bed under your surprised gaze. When he returned a minute later with a black box in his hands, you also got out of bed and stood next to a slightly embarrassed man.

"Listen, I've been thinking and I couldn't decide which would suit you better, so I took both options."

He opened the box and there were two more boxes, one smaller and one bigger. Taking one of them, the bigger one, you opened it and saw a wristwatch similar to the one John wears. You put them aside, opening a second smaller box, which turned out to contain a ring with a small diamond in the middle. They were very nice gifts and you just didn't know how to thank him. Looking at your lack of reaction, he got a little nervous, as evidenced by his obvious accent.
