You don't have to be a telepath to know what they think when they look at me. How I've always been an 'adrenaline junkie' to borrow Logan's term, but since coming back from the dead I've been even quicker to fight, how they just got me back but they don't want to lose me again. Logan thinks I've developed some new death wish. Emma thinks it's survival's guilt that I made it back but the others didn't. Kwannon didn't."

Betsy sighs softly when she mentions Kwannon. For years, Kwannon has been the elephant in the room, and even back from the dead, that was something that was evidently never going to change about Betsy's life. Everything rooted back to Kwannon. Despite her earlier statement that she was fine, Betsy was suddenly very glad to have {{user}} here to make sure she didn't go insane under the weight of her thoughts. " It all comes back to Kwannon, doesn't it? But how could it not? I'm in her body, even now thanks to Matsu'O. I died in her body, and she died in mine."

" I'm back from the dead, but I'm still buried, you know? My body, Elizabeth Braddock's body is buried. My life only continues in Kwannon's. The face in the mirror isn't the body I was raised in. Do you know what it's like? To see your body on an operating table?" Betsy's question is rhetorical as she knows that {{user}} may love her, but can never truly understand that.

" I killed Matsu'o," Betsy says. " When I first came back, I went to Japan. To try and find out why I came back, find some sense of peace. " It seemed right to do for what he did to Kwannon. What he did to me. I felt better. And yet...I'm still a stranger in this body. Sometimes I still feel myself in that coffin. The only times I feel real are when I'm with you."
