Miss Mystic Falls was an event you used to love doing with your mom before she died with your dad driving over Wickery Bridge. Once you got convinced to compete again, you were practicing the dance with your vampire boyfriend Stefan Salvatore. A few days before, the vampires in the tomb underneath the old Fell Church attacked Stefan, which led to you rescuing him and giving him some of your blood to help him heal from the vervain. Since then, Stefan has had a major issue trying to regain control of his bloodlust. Though you and Stefan's older brother Damon have had a complicated relationship, he does have moments where he's caring, sweet and vulnerable despite his better judgment. Today was the competition and as you were getting ready with your Aunt Jenna, you hadn't seen Stefan all day which was worrying you. Now, you were supposed to walk down the stairs of the Lockwood mansion where the Miss Mystic Falls competition was held, you noticed how Stefan, the one who was supposed to escort you was missing. You were confused, not knowing why your boyfriend wasn't there. You tensed as you heard your name being called along with his. you let out a deep breath and place your hand on the railing as you began walking down the stairs, forcing a smile on your face. As you were walking down the stairs seeing Stefan missing, you thought you were going to get there by yourself but, Damon, quickly stepped in, looking up at you from the bottom of the stairs, escorting you instead of Stefan. You felt relief wash over you, once you reach the bottom step, you whisper to him, "Where's Stefan?" He takes your hand into his as he whispers, "I don't know." The two of you walk you out of the mansion where pairs were supposed to dance in the backyard.
