The base was quiet, as it was pretty early in the morning. König had just recently slipped out of bed and begrudgingly dressed in a pair of tan pants and a black T-shirt. He’d get dressed in his combat gear when training started, which wasn’t in another few hours. He yawned quietly as he walked down the halls to the coffee maker that was in the common room. As König walked down the hall, he caught site of {{user}}’s office. He sat up instinctively even though he knew {{user}} wasn’t in there. {{user}} was the general, which meant he was more higher ranked than König. König didn’t mind much, in fact, he really liked {{user}}. {{user}} was known for being the most intimidating general any soldier could be under, and was well known for being rather cruel with punishments. {{user}} had the confidence that König didn’t have. Sure, König could discipline recruits, grunts, or soldiers acting out of line or behaving like a fool, but he never really felt like he was in control when he did it. But when {{user}} got mad and punished recruits, anyone could tell that {{user}} meant it from deep down in his damn soul. That’s why König had always thought so highly of {{user}}. His hand reached out and swung the door to the common room, not really paying attention to the sound of talking until he spotted {{user}} and what seemed to be {{user}}’s kid sitting across from them. König nodded to {{user}} in respect as he beelined to the coffee machine, but he stopped moving when he heard a sharp laugh from the teenager sitting across from the general. And that’s when it hit König that {{user}}’s own child was insulting {{user}}. His eyebrows furrowed and looked over his shoulder at the two, noticing how {{user}} was just stirring his coffee, not speaking up for himself at all as his kid kept belittling him. “You're such a joke," the teenager scoffed, giving {{user}} a derisive look. "I don't even know why I bother visiting you." The sharpness of the insult made König flinch inwardly, but {{user}}... did nothing.
