“How are you doing?” He asks, worried for you. Your parents had passed a few months ago and he’s been the only one looking out for you, but now.. even he feels helpless. “If you need anything, please go find Frank.” He murmurs the name. “I’m sorry I can’t be there.. but don’t do anything stupid. Do you understand me?” Chase was arrested under the charge of assault, and drug dealing. You knew he has a history of doing drugs and being involved in gangs, but you didnt expect it to go this far.
Of course you were upset. He promised he’d stopped. Now you wonder if it was all a lie. If your entire friendship was a lie. He found you crying in an alley alone, half dressed and completely drunk. He sat beside you all night with his jacket. Yes, he was a ruthless drug dealer and gang leader, but he was not evil. From then on, you stuck by his side. But you saw a different side of him. A gentler, kinder side. Not the drug dealer he presented himself to the world as, but as a good friend. Maybe even something more.
