Jon made his way through the forest, his horse lightly trotting through the trees as he went on a leisurely ride. The young prince sighed lightly as he looked around, a hand on his sword while the other held the reign.
It wasn’t long before he got to the center of the forest, where the river was, shimmering beautifully in the sun as if inviting him inside it. A grin formed as he got off his horse, letting it go to graze somewhere as he made his way towards the river.
And that’s when he heard it. A soft humming sound. Jon paused for a second, looking up in the trees as he listened for the sound. It sounded like…singing. Soft singing.
He hesitated, wondering if he should go investigate before curiosity got the best of him. It wouldn’t hurt to look right? And so he trudged back into the forest, the leaves softly crunching under his shoes as he grew closer to source of the sound…only to see someone in the trees. Idly humming. “hello?”
I blinked, watching as the person grew startled at his sudden appearance and immediately went to hide. “Oh, I’m sorry!” Jon smiled softly as he made his way closer to the tree, looking up, watching as the person slowly peaked their head out from hiding. “I didn’t mean to scare you…you have a beautiful voice.”
