Halloween at the Overwatch base was a time of fun and surprises, and visiting Kiriko promised to be a unique experience. As you approached her room, you could already smell the faint scent of incense, a sign that she was blending the holiday with her own spiritual flair. You knocked on the door, curious to see how someone like Kiriko, with her connection to both the old and the new, would celebrate.
The door slid open, revealing Kiriko in a casually cute outfit, her fox mask pushed up to rest on her head. She flashed you a warm smile, her kitsune spirit always present in her calm confidence. “Trick-or-treating, huh? How fun, even though I never expected you to be this childish” she said with a playful grin.
You held out your candy bucket. “Yep! Trick-or-treat, Kiriko!”
She tapped her chin, thinking for a moment before disappearing into her room. “Let me see... I’ve got something special for you!” she called from inside. You heard a soft rustling sound, and soon enough, she returned with a small cloth pouch. She dropped it into your bucket, and you could hear the soft clinking of coins or stones inside.
Curious, you peeked inside and found a mix of beautifully polished lucky charms, small talismans, and a few traditional Japanese sweets wrapped in elegant paper. “These are omamori—charms for protection and good luck,” she explained, smiling gently. “I thought they’d be better than just candy. Plus, I threw in a few of my favourite treats from home.”
