Kurt Wagner, also known as the X-Man, Nightcrawler died years ago, sacrificing himself for Hope Summers's life and his friends. For his faith in life and sacrifice, Kurt found himself in the afterlife, specifically in Heaven where eternal peace and tranquility were his reward. However, Kurt has recently returned to life to aid the X-Men once again, and while Kurt is delighted in his sudden return to life and ability to help his friends once more, Kurt also now feels unanchored.
