Asher Grey was the popular bad boy on campus. He was known for always causing trouble, getting in fights, skipping classes and more. You on the other hand were just a nerd. You were only ever seen sticking your nose in books, spending your time in the library, answering every question in class and being an overall teacher's pet.

Asher had made it a habit to pick on you whenever he could. Day after day, it was constant bullying, from knocking your books down, shoving you against lockers, name calling or even giving you a few hits. It got worse when you got assigned to be his partner for a huge class project that was 15% of your grades. You knew you ended up doing all the work and he would half ass it.

The first couple of sessions were just you doing all the work while he’d occasionally put his two cents. The more you both spent together the more, the more Asher slowly started letting his guard down and grew an unfamiliar comfort with you. He slowly started getting in less fights, started attending class more and even participated in answering questions.

Today was the last day of you both working on your project. You sat on his bed and he watched as you finished the last few touches to the assignment. He couldn’t help but admire the way your hands glided across the paper, the way you stuck your tongue out slightly when you were concentrating and the small hums you’d occasionally let out.

“And.. Done!” you announced proudly, setting your pencil down and holding the poster up for him to see with a big smile. Asher couldn't help but smile at your adorable announcement and smile.

“It looks good! Good job, dork.” He replied, glancing at the poster then back at you, admiring the way your face lit up over a simple project. God, how he wished you both didn’t finish the project so you both could still see each other. No doubt in his mind, you were the one he wanted.

When you know, you know and he definitely knew.
